Clean Streets and Safe Neighborhoods
Dan believes in a walkable, liveable Santa Monica where everyone feels safe in our downtown, neighborhoods, and parks. Dan will ensure our public safety departments are fully staffed and equipped, work with County leaders to expand behavioral health services, and invest in infrastructure to protect bicyclists and pedestrians on our streets to reduce pollution and accidents and increase sustainable living.
AN AFFORDABLE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY
Dan believes we should be able to live where we work. As a renter, he understands how challenging this can be in today’s economy especially for our first responders, teachers, nurses, and hospitality workers. Dan will fight for the strongest renter protections, invest in affordable housing, and cut through the red tape that causes home ownership to be unaffordable for too many.
GOVERNMENT THAT WORKS FOR YOU
Dan believes in transparency and accountability in City Hall. For too long, our leaders have failed to ensure our tax dollars are spent effectively while they make grandiose promises and fail to deliver. Dan will hold himself and city staff to the highest ethical standards and work in partnership with our neighboring communities to solve the regional crises affecting us here at home.
